the sea witch garden is where south slope attempts a kind of kitsch escapism, a koi pond gurgling amid plastic flora. one imagines a distant relative’s yard sale, somehow curated into a state of permanent backyard irony. it’s a space that doesn’t quite commit to being a garden, nor entirely to being a bar, existing instead in a pleasant purgatory of patterned umbrellas. perhaps a good spot for a late afternoon beverage, before the sun entirely abandons its efforts here.
