the soho grand’s garden courtyard holds gilligan’s, a place for an outdoor cocktail. it’s not exactly a hidden gem, more of an expected amenity, but the green space does offer a brief respite from the cobblestone-induced ankle fatigue just beyond its gates. the drinks are liquid, the setting a garden. a perfectly adequate tableau for those who prefer their outdoor sitting to involve some light shrubbery. it’s quite alright for an afternoon aperitivo, before the sun dips too low.
