up here in williamsburg, a sort of elevated concrete patio presents itself as a place to be. the river is there, doing its river thing, and manhattan insists on being seen. it’s not exactly a piazza, more of a landing strip for those who appreciate a good backdrop while demonstrating their ability to stand for extended periods. a commendable effort at urban repose. come for the late afternoon light.
